Does the City of Port St. Lucie allow residents to have chickens?

No, chickens are defined as farm animals and are prohibited to keep within the limits of the City of Port St. Lucie.  For a list of animals defined as farm animals, please see City Ordinance 92.05 below:

 

Farm Animals Not Permitted - 92.05(3) It is unlawful to keep or permit to run at large; horses, goat, cattle, swine, sheep, mule, chickens, turkeys, ducks, geese, guineas, pea fowl, and pheasants or other animals considered to be a farm animal within the corporate limits of the city.
